Introduction

The Natural Product Inspired Chemistry symposium, arranged 11 March 2014 in Umeå, will provide enthralling stories from researchers who have all been inspired by natural products and the synthetic challenges involved. Lectures from scientists who, in joint venture with micro organisms, create new natural products analogues with interesting biological activities. We hope and believe that the Trends in Organic Chemistry meeting in Umeå will be meaningful for everyone within the field, from organic chemistry, calculational chemistry to molecular biologists and medicinal chemists.
