This year sees the 5th symposium in this series take place and it will feature two one day meetings in China at two different locations Hong Kong and Chengdu. Each one day meeting will feature a selection of lectures given by some of the world's leading international scientists within the topic of biomaterials, including biologically active materials, bio inspired materials and technology, and substrate related technology.
The symposium will appeal particularly to academic and industrial scientists with an interest in functional materials science. Student participation is also strongly encouraged and each symposium will offer students the opportunity to present their work during a poster session.
In addition Unilever Shanghai R&D Centre and the Royal Society of Chemistry are launching the Chemistry Presentation Competition. We would like to invite postgraduates and PhD candidates studying a chemistry-related subject to share your knowledge about chemistry and how it affects your daily life.
