Glutathione, bioactive thiols and related enzymes are of fundamental interest in biochemistry, pharmacology and toxicology. Recent advances will be highlighted in sessions covering:
•Functional genomics
•Mechanisms of enzyme action
•Membrane transporters, MRP
•Membrane associated proteins in eicosanoid and glutathione metabolism
•GSH and xenobiotics/drug metabolism
•Thiols and oxidative stress
•Selenium
•Regulation of gene expression
•Biothiols and pathogens
The conference is planned for up to 150 participants of whom approximately 30 will be internationally prominent invited speakers. Stipends for participation will be made available to PhD students and other young investigators. Participants will be encouraged to present posters and special poster discussion sessions will be arranged in order to maximize the flow of scientific information and ideas. Ample time for informal discussions will also be provided.
