The Physical Chemistry of Fuel Cells

Introduction
The first presentation will cover an introduction to Proton Exchange Membrane [PEM] fuel cell components and their design, followed by a look at near-term application areas and future growth, touching on the background to Arcola Energy and Horizon Fuel Cell UK activity.

The second presentation then investigates in detail fuel cells based on zirconia which run at 700oC to convert methane or propane into electric power with good efficiency and low emissions, commercialised by Adelan Ltd.
