The Royal Society of Chemistry North India Section, Green Chemistry Network Centre, New Delhi and The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) are jointly organizing the 5th Asia-Oceania Conference on Green and Sustainable Chemistry (5th AOC-GSC) on January 15-17, 2015 at India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi, India. This conference would include plenary lectures, invited oral presentations and poster sessions.
Since the onset of AOC-1 in Tokyo (2007), there has been a broad theme for the entire conference each year- Expansion in Beijing, AOC-2 (2009), Innovations in Melbourne AOC-3 (2011), Opportunities in Taiwan AOC-4 (2013). Continuing the tradition, this time the broad theme of the conference has been decided as Capabilities. This theme has been selected to unveil the potentials of green chemistry principles and to demonstrate the capabilities of green chemistry for a sustainable future.
This conference aims to promote concepts and technologies of green chemistry and contribution to sustainable development in the Asia-Oceania region. It also intends to bring together government officials and policy makers, the international development community, educators, scholars and all the segments of industries to disseminate knowledge and ponder upon of the solutions provided by green chemistry techniques for the global issues.
To cater to the wide range of topics, the conference has been further divided into following thematic tracks.
1. Green chemistry and Health,
2. Sustainability and industrial Processes,
3. Green Chemistry Education and
4. Advancing Global Green Chemistry: Collaborations among academia, government and industry.
One special session is scheduled on the evening of 15th January 2015 titled “Interaction with the following World leaders of Green chemistry" after the Inaugural lecture by founder of Green Chemistry
Last date for abstract submission is 15th November 2014 for oral / poster presentation at the conference.
