Gerry Thomas of Sygnature Discovery is to give the opening address, providing insights and insider advice on how to engage with big pharma companies.
Gerry has experience of leading programs from hit finding to Phase II clinical studies and has previously worked at OSI Prosidion, Shire, BASF(Knoll) and Boots Pharmaceuticals.
David Lathbury PhD, the Director of Astute Chemical Development Consultancy, the former Director of Process Chemistry at Astra Zeneca, and Vice President of Chemical Development at AMRI is to provide the closing address.
Drawing from his experience of working for some of the largest pharmas and running his own consultancy, David Lathbury will be addressing the question of whether SMEs should engage with Big Pharma.
David will be talking about the differences in approaches, time lines and costs. He will also cover the ease of forming long term productive relationships that can lead to long term business, and the risks and rewards for SMEs of forming these relationships.
