Royal Society of Chemistry Radiochemistry Group Young Researchers Meeting 2015

Introduction
The Radiochemistry Group is once again pleased to encourage young scientists in the field of radiochemistry, through the informal and friendly atmosphere of the 'Young Researchers Meeting'. It is designed as a forum for the exchange of ideas and experiences between researchers in industry, research institutes and university departments. Researchers under 35 are encouraged to submit abstracts on topics in the field of chemistry of the radionuclides. The deadline for submission of abstracts is April 27th 2015.

A prize will be awarded for the best talk of the day, based on the quality of the presentation. Speakers are given 12 minutes for their presentation with 3 minutes for questions. The winner will receive a cheque for £ 150 and the honour of having her/his name added to those of previous recipients on the coveted trophy, a bust of Marie Curie, which will remain in her/his possession until the next meeting. A cheque for £ 75 will be awarded to the runner-up. The winner will also be funded to present his/her research at an appropriate scientific conference, up to the value of £ 500.

At the last meeting the Marie Curie Trophy was awarded to Laura Newsome from the University of Manchester.

The University of Manchester and the STFC Env-Rad-Net are hosting the meeting. Supervisors are also welcome to attend in support of their students. Travel expenses (up to the price of a 2nd class rail fare) can be reclaimed on the day from the STFC Env-Rad-Net (available to all attendees). Hotel arrangements (complimentary) can also be made for the night before the meeting if attendees are travelling large distances (> 2.5 h travel).

To register to attend the meeting, please return the application form as soon as possible to oliver.street@manchester.ac.uk (deadline for registration is April 27th). There is no charge for attending the meeting and lunch and refreshments will be provided. For those wishing to present at the meeting, please provide an abstract using the form provided.
