Find out about the work Sheffield Assay Office do to determine the composition of precious metals and see how they use chemical and spectroscopic techniques to check the purity of precious metals. Take a tour of the Hallmarking facilities and the laboratories. Come along to find out about almost two and half centuries worth of assaying and hallmarking history in Sheffield.
