Frontiers in Environmental Radioactivity

Introduction
The STFC Environmental Radioactivity Network and the Royal Society of Chemistry Radiochemistry Group are pleased to announce an up-coming 2-day symposium: ‘Frontiers in Environmental Radioactivity’. The symposium will focus on recent and future advances in Environmental Radioactivity research with an emphasis on the use of advanced techniques including Synchrotron, Laser, Neutron, and Scientific Computing facilities. Topics covered will include research in key scientific challenge areas of: (i) radioactive contaminated land management, (ii) geological disposal of radioactive wastes, (iii) nuclear incident response, and (iv) radionuclide behaviour in the natural environment.
