Taking the temperature of phase transitions in cool materials

8 - 9 February 2016, London, United Kingdom

Introduction
Large thermal changes can arise when phase transitions are driven by magnetic fields, electric fields or stress fields. These three effects arise in overlapping sets of materials, but have traditionally been studied separately.

This meeting will promote scientific collaboration, and assess the potential of the materials for practical cooling applications. Call for posters - deadline 1 December 2015 A poster session will be held at the meeting alongside the schedule of presentations.

To submit a poster, please send an email with the subject "Phase transitions discussion meeting - poster submission" including the title, 200-word abstract and list of authors to discussion.meetings@royalsociety.org. This must be received by 1 December 2015. The scientific organisers will make a selection based on the abstracts received.
