Hosted by the Royal Society of Chemistry's Early Career Network and The University of Strathclyde, this symposium aims to bring early-career chemists from all disciplines and sectors together to connect the next generation of leaders in the chemical sciences. With four parallel sessions spread over two days and a host of world class speakers confirmed, ECS2016 delegates can expect to see the latest advances in chemical research, learn from emerging leaders in the field and network with their peers in a relaxed environment.
ECS2016 will comprise of four parallel sessions, covering all aspects of chemistry: Education & Outreach, Organic & Biochemistry, Physical & Analytical and Inorganic & Materials. Delegates are encouraged to move between sessions, learn some new chemistry and experience some alternative careers. Session chairs will keep strict timings to facilitate movement, and speakers will be advised of the potential for some disruption.
Each session will have several invited speakers representing the cream of young talent from industry and academia. Invited speakers will showcase not only their excellent research, but also their career progression.
Abstracts for both oral and poster presentation are welcome for all of our four sessions from academic and industrial chemists taking the first steps in their careers.
