The 2nd Dalton Transactions International Symposium took place during the 11th Conference on Solid State Chemistry and Inorganic Synthesis, China (CSSCIS 2010) at the Shanghai Airlines Travel Hotel, Shanghai, in November 2010. The purpose of RSC journal symposia is to bring together scientists in a stimulating and friendly environment that will foster collaborations between the researchers and the universities involved in the meetings.
The symposium featured two one-day meetings. Each one day meeting featured a selection of lectures covering solid state chemistry and inorganic synthesis given by some of the world's leading international scientists. The first one-day meeting, held at the Shanghai Airlines Travel Hotel, Shanghai, was held jointly with the 11th Conference on Solid State Chemistry and Inorganic Synthesis (China) (CSSCIS-2010). The second one-day meeting took place at the University of Hong Kong. The symposium was organised by Dalton Transactions, the Royal Society of Chemistry and the local host organisations.
