27th International Conference on Organometallic Chemistry

17 - 22 July 2016, Melbourne, Australia

Introduction
On behalf of the Organising Committee, it is our pleasure to invite you to attend the 27th International Conference on Organometallic Chemistry (ICOMC 2016) which will be held in Melbourne 17 – 22 July 2016. The Conference will be the latest event in this prestigious series, and we look forward to welcoming you ‘Down Under’ to share the outstanding academic, social and cultural experience that the meeting offers.

The scientific program will feature an exciting array of Plenary, Keynote and Invited lectures, supported by contributed oral presentations and dynamic and interactive poster sessions. We strongly encourage the ’next generation’ of scholars to present their research at this conference, alongside senior colleagues, and to take advantage of the opportunities for both oral and poster presentations. A number of bursaries are available to help support student attendance at the meeting.

In addition to the special topics, other fields of Organometallic Chemistry will also be considered, to create a program that spans fundamental science to applied areas, and provides maximum opportunity for engagement and participation. To encourage scientific discussions in less formal environments, special attention will also be paid to the social program, with a welcome reception, conference dinner and social functions. The poster sessions are designed to serve as hubs for the conference around which delegates will have ample opportunity to meet with others and discuss concepts and ideas. Additionally, many tours in and around Melbourne will be possible to enjoy the cuisine, wines and unique flora and fauna of Australia.

Melbourne is served by a major international airport, and readily connected to the world. The Conference venue is ideally located in central Melbourne, with easy access to public transport, hotels, restaurants, and bars, sporting events, museums, parks, gardens and serving as a base from which further explore Australia.

We are very pleased to welcome you to Melbourne and we look forward to a Conference that promises to be a unique scientific and social event.
