11 January 2017 09:00 - 12 January 2017 16:00, Newtownabbey, United Kingdom

Introduction

Invitation and Call for Abstracts:

On behalf of the RSC Biomaterials Chemistry Special Interest Group, the local organising committee cordially invites you to attend the 2017 Annual Conference on the 11th and 12th January 2017 at Ulster University (Jordanstown Campus).

The RSC Biomaterials Chemistry Special Interest Group was set up in 2005 to provide a focus for groups in UK universities and industry working on the synthesis and characterisation of biomaterials. The group aims to enhance the understanding of the chemistries underlying the use of biomaterials in applications including prostheses, drug delivery and regenerative medicine.

Annual meetings of the group are designed to promote biomaterials chemistry research and development, enhance existing links, foster new collaborations and spread expertise. Meetings give participants the opportunity to present new work, discuss data and help to shape the future of research in this important and growing area of chemistry.

Abstract Submission:

Abstract submissions are invited for both oral and poster presentations in any area of biomaterials chemistry (and related research). Abstract submissions are encouraged from postgraduate students as this meeting is an excellent opportunity to present to a supportive and enthusiastic audience.

Please submit your abstract to: ar.boyd@ulster.ac.uk
Ensure that the abstract does not exceed 1 A4 page. The font size should be a minimum of 11 and font style Arial. Line spacing: 1.5

Conference dinner:

The RSC Biomaterials Chemistry Special Interest Group conference dinner will take place on the evening of 11th January at the Europa Hotel Belfast, located in Great Victoria Street. Dinner will be on the 12th floor offering fantastic views across Belfast.
