In the spirit of National Apprenticeship Week, the Royal Society of Chemistry, the professional body for the chemical sciences, along with Cambridge Regional College are delivering a FREE breakfast seminar to explore how apprenticeships could support your business.
The seminar will provide science employers with the opportunity to hear from professionals at the Royal Society of Chemistry and Cambridge Regional College regarding apprenticeship reform and how you could benefit from the introduction of the apprenticeship levy. You'll also be able to hear from an employer and apprentice about their experiences with apprenticeships. Delegates will also be given the opportunity to network with employers from the chemical sciences and wider science community.
The apprenticeship levy, which will be effective from April 2017, will mean that employers with a wage bill of over £3m will have to the apprenticeship levy. Employers will pay 0.5% of their wage bill that exceeds £3m as a PAYE tax.
