Low Carbon Chemical Feedstocks for a Bioeconomy

25 April 2017 10:00-16:00, Leeds, United Kingdom

Introduction
As part of our transition towards a low-carbon bioeconomy we must develop - and deploy at scale - a range of new chemical and bio- based processes that can utilise low-carbon feedstock in a sustainable way to meet the demand for chemicals and fuels now and into the future.

KTN is running an ambitious event that will bring together experts from a cross-section of industry, together with innovators and researchers working across different disciplines to showcase current national and regional activities in this area and discuss the challenges and opportunities for the UK.
Aims of this event:
  • Provide an opportunity for development of new cross-sector, cross-discipline collaborations that will help accelerate market-led opportunities, develop new UK supply chains and strengthen the UK’s position as a global leader in the bioeconomy
  • The output of this event will be used to help inform the development of a Bioeconomy Strategy for the UK and other Government policy/funding/support in this area.
Opportunities for networking
  • In order to help facilitate networking we will be asking all registered attendees to provide a brief summary of their interests, capabilities, innovation activities, needs. This information will then be shared with everyone during the event.
  • You will be able to organise 1:1 meetings with other participants via our Meeting Mojo platform.
