Now in its 62nd year, the Dalton Lecture was inaugurated in 1945 to commemorate the life and work of John Dalton and, in recent years, the Dalton Lecture has been held every two years. The Dalton Lecture is a public lecture of the Royal Society of Chemistry organised by the Manchester and District Local Section of the RSC. The 39th Dalton Lecture, will be delivered by Prof. David A. Leigh, FRS, on the topic of ‘Making the Tiniest Machines’. Students from local schools are especially welcome.
