Emerging Technologies Competition poster showcase

14 June 2017 14:30-16:30, Manchester, United Kingdom

Introduction
Investors are invited to join us for a special poster showcase of Emerging Technologies Competition 2017 shortlisted entrants.

Meet the 40 SMEs and academic entrepreneurs shortlisted by senior representatives in industry and find out more about their breakthrough technologies in health, energy, environment, sustainability, food and materials.

About the Emerging Technologies Competition

Our annual innovation competition supports early-stage companies and academic entrepreneurs with the commercialisation of their technologies in the fields of health, materials, energy and food.

Over 350 technologies have been identified through the competition since 2013. Twelve of our winners have gone on to raise a combined total of over £25m in investment, and one has recently exited in a £28m trade sale. In addition, we’ve seen university groups spin out in to promising businesses; and companies expand overseas, enter commercial contracts, conduct industrial scale trials, and collectively double their number of employees.

Chemistry Means Business 2017

The Emerging Technologies Competition final takes place during Chemistry Means Business, 13–14 June 2017

Our flagship event for the chemistry-using industry brings together early stage companies, established SMEs, multinationals, academic entrepreneurs and investors from across the UK and Europe. Each year we hold this two-day event to showcase emerging technologies, spark innovation, forge collaborations, and discuss sector trends in health, materials, energy and sustainability.

All shortlisted Emerging Technologies Competition entrants will pitch their technologies on the first day of Chemistry Means Business.
Registration
The poster session is free to attend for investors, angel syndicates and groups, and VC funds (for all other attendees please go to Chemistry Means Business website for further details and to book).

You are welcome to stay for afternoon panel discussions and announcement of the poster prize.
