Fully booked: Marvellous Medicines and How to Find Them

19 October 2017 18:00-20:00, London, United Kingdom

Introduction
This evening lecture will be part of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) Biological & Medicinal Chemistry Sector (BMCS) Lectureship for 2017/18.
Dr Jamie Scott, a practising medicinal chemist, will give an introduction to some modern drugs and then ask where do these molecules come from? He will then outline some of the challenges in discovering a new medicine with some case studies and future perspectives.
The aim is to provide an insight into the process behind drug discovery that will be accessible to non-chemists and chemists alike.

Registration will open at 6 pm, and refreshments will be served at the same time.
