The Department of Chemistry in association with Department of Pharmacy is organizing a three-day international conference, “Chemical & Pharmaceutical Sciences: Recent Approaches in Research & Applications”, to be held on 17-19th January 2018. This is the third international conference that will be organized by the Department of Chemistry. The previous international conferences were successfully held in January 2015 and 2017.
The conference will provide a platform for active researchers, both national & international, to discuss and share their latest research work. It will also provide an opportunity for chemists and pharmacists, from academia and industry, to come together for broader collaboration in areas of common interest. The conference invites academics (faculty and students), industrial chemists & pharmacists, and researchers from around the world to meet and exchange their latest ideas and views.

The conference will be held in Lahore, a beautiful and historic city, and a cultural hub of the country. It is the second largest city of Pakistan. The history of Lahore goes back to thousands of years. Over the time, the city has enriched itself from various cultures of ethnic and religious backgrounds. About the Departments of Chemistry and Pharmacy
Forman Christian College was established in 1864, and is one of the oldest institutions in the sub-continent. The Department of Chemistry is among the earliest departments established at Forman Christian College. It has a rich tradition as a leading institution of the discipline, as is reflected by eminent scholars and researchers it has produced. It offers BS (Hons), MPhil and PhD programs. The Department of Pharmacy has been recently established and will play an important role in of pharmacy education in Pakistan. Its unique program in a liberal arts education environment distinguishes it from its peers in the country.
