The “A. Corbella” International School on Organic Synthesis (ISOS) is held every year – since 1976 – in Gargnano, a small village on the shore of Garda lake (Italy). ISOS is organized under the direction of the Department of Chemistry of the Università degli Studi di Milano and is sponsored by the Division of Organic Chemistry of the Italian Chemical Society (SCI).
The School is mainly directed to PhD students and young researchers coming from both University and Industry. It normally attracts close to 100 students from the main Italian and European universities. The lectures span all aspects of modern synthetic Organic Chemistry and focus on research topics at the cutting-edge of organic chemistry and related areas, such as analytical chemistry, materials, innovative enabling technologies
The scientific programme of ISOS 2018 will consist of lectures delivered by acclaimed scientists from academia and industry, poster sessions, short oral communications, a problem session and several informal meetings among the attendees and the speakers throughout the five-day schedule.
English is the official language of the School, used in all the lectures and scientific presentations.
