Synopsis
This 2.5 day symposium follows on from the very successful inaugural meeting held in 2017 containing high quality international speakers from industry and academia on topics of Medicinal Chemistry and related enabling technologies. Organised by the Biological and Medicinal Chemistry Sector of the Royal Society of Chemistry, together with Nordic affiliates, the meeting promises to be an exciting and invigorating gathering packed with fantastic opportunities to disseminate knowledge and expand networks.
Programme Themes and Features
The scientific programme will feature themed lectures, focusing on medicinal chemistry and related technologies and disciplines across a range of drug targets and modalities. A distinguishing feature of this symposium is the collegiate style which encourages an atmosphere of information sharing and learning.
The event will include first rate lectures, poster session, trade exhibition, ample networking opportunities, welcome buffet on Tuesday, exceptional location, venue and accommodation.
Who should attend
Medicinal chemists at all career stages. Scientists with an interest in drug discovery or new technologies that can be applied to the drug discovery process.
Call for Posters
The call for posters is open, and abstracts are invited. The closing date is 30th April, and some posters will be selected for flash oral presentation.
Registration, Fees, and Bursaries
The previous meeting was very popular and oversubscribed such that capacity has been increased to 140 attendees for 2019. Contact the RSC-BMCS secretariat to be notified when registration is open. Discounted rates are offered to RSC members and limited student bursaries are available. Registration is open and please see our website for registration fees.
Accommodation and Dinners
The accommodation and dinners package is priced at £585, and comprises:
- three nights’ bed and breakfast accommodation at the conference Hotel Comwell Borupgaard (from Tuesday to Thursday inclusive)
- three-course dinner with drinks on Wednesday
- conference dinner with drinks on Thursday
It is advisable to book this at the time of registration.
Exhibition
Exhibition stands are priced at £1,100, and this fee includes for one full delegate with access to the technical programme.
