I am pleased to annouce that the 2019 Retired Members’ Event will take place on Thursday 11th April at Roman Vindolanda in Bardon Mill, Northumberland. We will meet at 11:00 at the Vindolanda site for a brief introduction by the staff and the opportunity to explore the archaeological site. At around 13:00 we’ll meet in the coffee shop to catch up over a light lunch and then you have the opportunity to visit the Roman Army Museum using the day ticket provided. The museum is not on the same site but is only a 15-minute drive into Cumbria for those who wish to attend.
As in previous years there is no charge for members of the RSC and no charge for you to bring along a spouse, significant other or friend. Additional guests are welcome but will be charged £5.00 to contribute to the cost of admission.
If you wish to attend the event, please contact me using the details below to confirm. These events are an excellent opportunity to catch up with friends you may not have seen in a while and an opportunity to catch up with me, and to ask me any questions you may have about the Royal Society of Chemistry and your Local Section.
