Introduction

We are delighted to announce that the 2019 Local Section Day will be taking place on Wednesday 10 July at Burlington House, Piccadilly, London.
 
The day will include information sessions from RSC staff and discussion sessions for Local Sections to share experiences. The Networks team will be there and we will provide resources and materials about GDPR, contracts processes and funding options, as well as information about the recent brand refresh and IYPT activities and resources.
 

The approximate schedule for the day is as follows:

10:45 - Coffee and registration
11:00 - Welcome and introduction
11:10 - Updates for Local Sections
Information from staff about recent projects that affect Local Sections
11:45 - Sharing experiences
An opportunity for delegates to learn from each other and share ideas and best practices
13:00 - Lunch
14:00 - Event planning and engaging members
A combination of information sessions and round table discussions to learn about planning and promoting engaging and relevant events for your members
16:30 - Finish
17:00 - Public Lecture
A lecture delivered by Professor Peter Wothers from University of Cambridge
18:00 - 2019 Annual General Meeting of the Royal Society of Chemistry
