The islands are a popular holiday destination, offering sunshine, beaches and natural beauty. The islands are grouped together as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The most convenient option to reach Lipari is flying to Catania Airport (CTA), then taking a direct bus link or private transfer to the port of Milazzo, where ferries/hydrofoils to Lipari and the other islands depart. The direct bus is run by Giuntabus and leaves from outside the airport. Tickets can be bought on the bus.
