Joint NSFC-RSC Symposium on Artificial Intelligence in the Design and Synthesis of Chemicals and Materials

25 - 26 November 2019, Beijing, China


Introduction
This symposium will bring together leading researchers from China and the UK working in the rapidly developing area of artificial intelligence (AI) methods applied to chemistry. It will include speakers from both academia and industry who will present their results and invite discussion in order to share expertise and best practice in this important field of research.
 
During the course of the two days of the meeting established scientists and outstanding early career researchers will deliver a series of invited talks. In addition, there will be a poster session for young researchers and students to participate with prizes awarded for the best posters.
 
The theme is artificial intelligence in the design and synthesis of chemicals and materials and will cover the use of AI technologies, including machine learning, in:
  • The synthesis, property prediction and engineering of new materials
  • The synthesis, property prediction and design of molecules and new pharmaceutical and agricultural agents
  • Interdisciplinary approaches to full life cycles for chemicals and materials
