This meeting will be led by Dr John Mole, Principle Lecturer in Chemistry. It takes place during RSC Chemistry Week. The purpose of the Chemistry Business Advisory Group is to discuss matters of science/chemistry which will influence the strategic development of awards, courses and services to meet the needs of local businesses/employers.
The group meets twice a year and industry representatives are invited to attend when they are able to (no long term commitment required).
This meeting is open to industry professionals across the West Midlands and nearby areas. We welcome representatives from a variety of businesses (both small and large) which operate in the chemical sciences sector. Royal Society of Chemistry members are welcomed. Unfortunately this meeting is not open to students or representatives of other universities.
Light refreshments will be provided.
There is no fixed agenda but topics for discussion include:
- Chemistry Course Matters
- Chemical Engineering Course Matters
- EnTRESS Business Support
- KTPs and Business Development
- Faculty Matters
- Company Matters (from any company representative that is there)
- Research (any academics in attendance)
