Under the general theme of “Bonding to create future leaders” we are hosting a FREE half-day event which will bring together high school, undergraduate, master and PhD students with the members of the chemistry community of Sorbonne University and our Ile de France region.
Our goal is to promote the diversity in the chemical sciences and its professions via an interactive event. It will offer the participants a space to discuss and tackle together with the aid of purposefully-designed activities (games) and round tables, the following subjects:
We will be having some interesting activities and discussion panels on the following topics:
• Gender stereotypes in Chemistry
• Profession stereotypes
• Overcoming self-censorship and breaking the glass ceiling
Finally, we hope the event will help to set in place the beginnings of a mentorship network in the Ile de France region.
