Online training: The Gas Chromatography & GC-MS Clinic

4 - 7 May 2020, United Kingdom

Introduction
This course looks at how to set up the instrument and develop a method for an application, along with reviewing some advanced techniques for complex applications.

This course has been approved by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) for purposes of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

This course is taught live in a virtual classroom, is totally interactive with instrument parts and consumables shown & explained. There are small group sizes so plenty of opportunities to ask questions then get them answered on screen! It is a total of 12 hours split over 4 days.

This course looks at how to choose the GC & GC-MS techniques for an application, set-up the instrument and strategies for method development.

Attendees will learn how to recognise when maintainance is needed on the instrument and the logical steps to troubleshoot the instrument, techniques and method.

The course also takes a brief look at advanced techniques to help solve those very tricky or complex applications including Selective Discrimination, Deconvolution, Two-Dimensional GC (GC+GC & GCxGC) and Chemometrics.

The GC & GC-MS Clinic is often taken as a follow-on course from the Practical Essentials of GC & GC-MS and together they form the Complete GC & GC-MS course.
