Academic Forum for 100 Years Anniversary of Chemistry in Nanjing University & 10 Years Anniversary of Chemical Science

12 October 2020 15:00-18:00, China

Introduction
The School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering (SCCE) of Nanjing University (NJU) is one of the oldest and strongest chemistry departments in China. Established in 1920, SCCE has been home to scientists who, over the century, have left a legacy of cutting-edge research. The school’s current researchers are tackling scientific challenges with far-reaching and long-term impact. Today, the SCCE positions itself as a global center of excellence in chemistry. Academics, graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers at SCCE contribute innovative ideas to chemistry across a spectrum of disciplines, including synthetic chemistry, analytical chemistry, material chemistry, chemical biology, theoretical and computational chemistry, and green chemical engineering.

Chemical Science is the gold open access flagship journal of the Royal Society of Chemistry, to present new findings of exceptional significance to their field across the breadth of the chemical sciences. Supported by a really strong and outstanding team of Associate Editors, Chemical Science appreciates the value of fundamental research in supporting the development of discoveries that then go on to have wider impact, both on society and economically. This year Chemical Science is marking this milestone by recognising 10 years of high quality, accessible research from across the globe.

This forum is to bring the world leading chemistry scientists from the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Nanjing University and Chemical Science, to celebrate the marvellous achievements they’ve got and record the precious moment.
