Conference GEP-SLAP2022
San Sebastian (Spain) will host the following conferences on polymers from 8th to 12th May 2022:
1. The XVI Meeting of the Group Specialized in Polymers of the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry and Spanish Royal Society of Physics (GEP 2022)
2. The XVII Latin American Polymer Symposium (SLAP 2022) and
3. The XV Ibero American Polymer Congress (CIP 2022)
The congress will also include:
• A Special Session dedicated to Polymers in Industry
• EU European Project workshops or projects (a) IONBIKE RISE: Innovative Iongels for Bioelectronics and (b) BIODEST RISE: Synthesis, Characterization, Structure and Properties of Novel Biodegradable Polyesters and one H2020-EJD workshop (a) NIPU-EJD: Synthesis, Characterization, Structure and Properties of Novel Non-Isocyanate Polyurethanes

1) Advances in polymer synthesis and characterization
2) Polymer structure, properties, theory, and simulation
3) Rheology, processing, additive manufacturing, and mechanical properties
4) Polymer recycling, biobased and biodegradable polymers and, circular economy
5) Polymers for energy applications, sensing, optoelectronics, and smart applications
6) Polymers for biomedical applications and nanomedicine, hydrogels, electrospinning
7) Block copolymers, multiphasic polymers, blends, nanocomposites, and nanohybrids
Program:
The Congress maintains a high scientific quality thanks to the confirmation of the attendance of the invited speakers and the commitment of the organizers. We would like to highlight that the KURSAAL conference center has ample space for holding the Congress, adapted to the COVID-19 security regulations.
The congress will be PRESENCIAL. The attendance / participation of 300 congressmen is expected. The program will include oral communications and poster presentations. Three parallel sessions will allow a large number of participants to present oral talks.

Venue
The Conference will be held at the KURSAAL Conference Hall in the city center. San Sebastian has an airport for national flights (Mainly to/from Madrid and Barcelona). However, San Sebastian has an excellent bus connection (1/hour) to Bilbao airport, where many international flights arrive. Direct bus connection exists also to Biarritz airport although less frequent.
Accommodation
San Sebastian has a wide selection of lodging possibilities that can be found through internet and travel agencies. Early booking is recommended.
