This course aims to provide a comprehensive view of the main facets involved in metagenomics thinking and practice by giving a general conceptual background and tools employed in metagenomics as well as its relationships with other emergent meta-disciplines. The methodological metagenomics challenges from sampling to the development of integrated resources and data management will be approached by a combination of lecture and practical sessions.
