A joint OCCA and RSC meeting hosted by City University Enterprise Office to consider the roles of science education, industry research and government policy in the innovation and commercialisation of new technologies. The main speakers will be Dr Clare Viney of RSC, who will speak about Education in Science and it's contribution to innovation in the economy, and Mr Stephen Metcalfe MP and member of the Parliamentary Science and Technology Committee Working Party, who will discuss the recent government initiative 'Bridging the "Valley of Death" : improving the commercialisation of research. Supporting contributions will be made by Mr Jonathan Bourne - Chairman OCCA London Section, Dr Sue O'Hare - Director City University Enterprise Office and Professor Panos Liatsis - Head of Information Engineering and Medical Imaging, City University.
