Introduction

The 2024 edition of the annual Global Women Breakfast #GWB2024, organised by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) will be celebrated in Ghana and the launch of the newly established Women in Chemistry Network (WICN) has been scheduled to coincide with the GWB on 27th February, 2024 to create awareness about the existence and mission of WICN, and also to encourage other women in the chemical sciences to be part of its membership. This will serve as the precursor for more events in the near and far future. The event date is fixed to coincide with the The programme will bring together students, professionals, policy makers and other stakeholders.
