Applied Method Validation

2 July 2024, United Kingdom

Introduction
Join our Applied Method Validation course to learn about all aspects of method validation!

The course covers:

• An introduction to method performance: covering qualitative and quantitative performance along with the individual  steps to evaluate method performance
• Instrument qualification and system validation
• System suitability, covering the design of control charts along with ongoing monitoring and appraisal
• Analytical method validation quality standards, touching on MCERTS and ISO 17025 as examples, leading in to an introduction to method accreditation

Various case studies are used throughout the course from a variety of analytical techniques. The first practical allows you to design a method from one of your applications, from start to finish. The second practical involves using previously acquired data to design a brand-new Shewhart control chart. You will calculate uncertainty values and use conditional formatting to automatically highlight trends and atypical results.

This is a universal course applicable to all instrumentation and disciplines which can be applied to many analytical techniques e.g. GC, LC, ICP, XRF, XRD, SEM, TGA & more.

This course will benefit delegates with a good knowledge of an analytical technique who would like to learn more about method validation. Whether you are a PhD student developing your research method or you work in a contract laboratory, you will benefit from attending this course!

Note: during the course we provide an excel template for a lab exercise so please make sure you have access to Microsoft Excel.

This course is taught live in a virtual classroom and offers a fully interactive experience, with case studies to reinforce the knowledge and apply the topics learned. Delegates can ask live questions; either by using their microphone or by typing into the chat box.

Scheduled course price: £485 + VAT per delegate.
Royal Society of Chemistry members receive a discount of 15% for this course (membership number required)
