Introduction

Course topics:
(i) Nanoparticle Synthesis. Application of nanoparticles to serum samples.
(ii) Protein linked to nano particles and their separation by one dimensional gel electrophoresis (1D-GE) .
(iii) Protein quantification by UV-spectroscopy (Nanodrop).
(iv) Ultrafast protein digestion with ultrasonic energy.
(v) Mass Spectrometry of proteins - MALDI-TOF-MS and MALDI-TOF-MS/MS. Protein identification by MS and MS/MS spectrometry.
(vi) Handling of MASCOT software.
