Computational Chemistry LIVE!

20 November 2013, Cardiff, United Kingdom

Introduction
Computational chemistry is a powerful tool that helps chemists understand many of the processes that are essential for life! It can be used to help predict whether or not drugs will react the way we intend them to, to help predict which materials will be suitable as containers for radioactive waste and it can be used to model catalytic reactions.

Come along and try your hand at this powerful tool. Find out why molecules have certain shapes, work out the strength of a hydrogen bond or a Van der Waals force is and talk to some researchers at Cardiff University who use molecular modelling every day.
