What is meant by "order of reaction"
Scaffold steps in understanding the order of reaction
Rate graphs are of two common types:
Concentration (y axis) against time (x axis).
Rate (y axis) against concentration (x axis).
The shape of each graph indicates whether the order of reaction for a particular reactant is zero, first or second order.
Plot graphs of reaction rate against conc of reactants and look at the shape of the graphs. This is a mathematical expression derived from the shape of the lines - see scanned order of reaction graphs on google drive. Present as a matching exercise or click or reveal with the graphs as the reveal answers.
