Are you interested in sustainable energy and the science that goes into it? Don’t miss the opportunity to explore the Ardley Energy Recovery Facility on Thursday 12th September with the RSC Mid-Southern Counties Local Section.
Operating since 2014, Ardley ERF is located near Bicester, Oxfordshire and focuses on diverting non-recyclable waste from landfill and converting it into energy.
Start by finding out about the cutting-edge waste-to-energy technology, with its focus on environmental sustainability, which is already generating enough electricity to power nearly 60,000 homes. Then lace up your steel toe capped boots (or borrow one of the provided pairs) to see the chemistry in action during a tour of the power station itself.
The event is for a maximum of 15 people. A coach will be available to transport our group to the facility, details TBC.
To sign up, contact John Treverton at johntreverton@btinternet.com.
Please include your name, role title, details of any relevant health conditions/requirements and shoe size (if you need to borrow a pair of steel toe capped safety shoes/boots).
