Congratulations to the Faraday Division 2022 Research & Innovation and Horizon Prize Winners
Our 2022 winners
Through its prizes programme, the Faraday Division celebrates the individuals and teams from industry and academia across all career stages who contribute to the advances in physical chemistry as well as recognises the novel discoveries in the field.
Winners are selected by the Faraday Division Awards Committee, chaired by the Division President.
Congratulations to all the 2022 Prize Winners!
Faraday Division early career award: Marlow Award
Dr Basile Curchod (University of Bristol)
For the development of theoretical and computational methods to unravel new mechanisms in photochemistry.
Faraday Division mid-career Award: Bourke-Liversidge Award
Prof. Vasilios Stavros (University of Warwick)
For contributions to gas, solution, and condensed-phase spectroscopy spanning both fundamental and applied aspects.
Faraday Division open award: Faraday Lectureship Prize
Prof. Michael Wasielewski (Northwestern University)
For contributions toward understanding electron spin dynamics in molecular systems for applications in quantum information science.
Faraday Division Horizon Prize
Chiroptical Harmony (University of East Anglia, University of Bath, Max Plank Institute for Intelligent Systems, KU Leuven University)
For the discovery of chiroptical harmonic scattering, theoretically predicted in 1979 and demonstrated experimentally 40 years later.
Faraday Division Horizon Prize
Single Atom Alloy Catalysis (University of California, University College London, Tufts University, Argonne National Laboratory, University of Cambridge)
For the development of single-atom alloys, a new class of catalysts that play a prominent role in the energy and sustainability fields.
