The event brings together the global chemistry community to network with colleagues across the world and at every career stage, share their research and engage in scientific debate.
We want #RSCPoster to be an inclusive event, connecting researchers from around the world to share and discuss their work. While #RSCPoster takes place on LinkedIn, we are happy for participants to cross-post their posters to engage in discussion with members of the community that use other social media platforms. Prizes will only be awarded based on participation on LinkedIn, so you must share your poster on the platform to be eligible.

Celebrating 10 years of #RSCPoster
We are celebrating ten years of #RSCPoster, our free online poster conference. Join us in 2025 to recognise a decade of innovation, collaboration and scientific discovery. This milestone event promises to be our most exciting yet, with a host of activities and opportunities for researchers worldwide.
We are proud to have provided a platform for thousands of scientists to share their work and connect with peers globally. Our journey has been marked by incredible achievements and inspiring stories.
From poster to publication
Over the years, many of the posters presented at #RSCPoster have led to significant publications and advances in various fields. These contributions have made a lasting impact on the scientific community and continue to inspire future research. Read our #RSCPoster themed collection here.
Hear from previous winners
Over the past 10 years of #RSCPoster, we have celebrated 205 winners across 14 different categories. We invited some of them to share their reflections about the event. Watch our video below to find out more about what they have been up to since, what they enjoyed about taking part, and why they think you should get involved in 2025.
"I was a PhD student at the Eindhoven University of Technology when I first participated in the #RSCPoster initiative. I found it vibrant and exciting, and I particularly enjoyed the interactions with fellow scientists—discussing the ideas presented, exchanging feedback, and receiving encouraging words. At the time, it felt like a fantastic opportunity to connect virtually with the global chemistry community by sharing a single image—a simple yet powerful idea!
Gabriele Laudadio, University of Graz, Austria
"After so many editions, it’s incredible to see how this event has grown, with more and more people participating each year. It has truly become a yearly highlight that chemists eagerly anticipate. I always encourage everyone to join and share their research. With #RSCPoster, you are just one click away from presenting your scientific journey to thousands of enthusiastic chemists worldwide!"

#RSCPosterLive webinars 2025
During #RSCPoster 2025 we ran two webinars, chaired by our external organisers Tanja Junkers and Tim Noel, on FAIR Data and Collaboration vs competition.
FAIR Data in Chemistry: Why and How?
Chaired by Tanja Junkers (Monash University) with Leah McEwen (Cornell University) and Jeremy Frey (Southampton University).
Collaboration vs competition in academia and industry
Chaired by Tim Noel (University of Amsterdam) with Marion Emmert (Merck) and Gabriele Laudadio (University of Graz)
#RSCPoster Conference webinars
Previous years have seen insightful webinars on topics such as imposter syndrome in academia, social media in science careers and obtaining grants. The 2024 webinars hosted by external organisers Tanja Junkers and Tim Noel covered the roles of pre-prints in chemical science and AI in publishing, respectively. You can catch up on these below.
The role of preprints in chemical science: ChemRxiv and journal publishing
Chaired by Tanja Junkers with Benjamin Mudrack (ACS/ChemRxiv), Robert Luxenhofer (University of Helsinki) and May Copsey (Royal Society of Chemistry)
