James Whitby

Biography
Based in Switzerland, where I have lived since 2001, I advise and assist clients with obtaining funding for R&D projects at national or European level, but especially through the Horizon Europe programme of the European Commission, and the EUREKA Eurostars programme (note that United Kingdom membership of Eureka is independent of association to the Horizon Europe programme).
I spent 20 years as an academic applying customised measurement instruments to problems in planetary science and materials science before becoming a consultant for non-dilutive R&D funding in 2011.
I assist clients to build project consortia, to complete proposal forms, and to manage projects. I have experience in reviewing business plans for high-tech start-ups.
