Xiaowei Zhan

Biography
Xiaowei Zhan obtained a Ph.D. in polymer chemistry from Zhejiang University in 1998. He was then a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ICCAS) from 1998 to 2000, and in 2000 he was promoted to Associate Professor at ICCAS. Dr. Zhan worked as a Research Associate and Research Scientist at the University of Arizona and Georgia Institute of Technology from 2002 to 2006.
He has been a full professor at ICCAS since 2006. From 2012 he has been a full professor of Peking University. His research interests are in the development of materials for organic electronics and photonics. Dr. Zhan has published 390 peer-reviewed papers. His papers were cited more than 53,000 times (Google Scholar). He was named "Highly Cited Researcher" by Clarivate Analytics from 2017 to 2023. He was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (2014) and a Fellow of the Chinese Chemical Society (2024).
