Points to consider
To explain the observations encountered in the practical work that students undertake we need to ensure a firm understanding of particle theory.
When particles collide with each other students will need to carefully to consider what is happening at a molecular level.
Here are some questions to consider.
What happens to the frequency of collisions when you increase the temperature?
What happens to the frequency of collisions when you increase the number of particles?
What happens to the number of the reactant particles as the reaction proceeds?
What happens to the proportion of the reactant particles as the reaction proceeds?
What happens if you introduce an excess of particle one particle? (In the simulation this can be done by using the "pump" to put more of reactant A into the reaction vessel)
