Whilst the use of simulations and animations is useful to convey the dynamic nature of the processes involved during chemical change it is not always practical to do this in the classroom.

It explores some of the factors affecting the rate of reaction. Students are asked to complete the grid provided and to match the correct explanation to the conditions outlined.

You may wish to try this activity with a group of students as part of the evaluation of its effectiveness as a resource.
