Effect of pressure

Increasing the pressure is effectively the same as increasing the concentration.

INS [Coll_EU_06_ANI]

Increasing the pressure effectively packs more reactant particles into a smaller space increasing the frequency of collisions and therefore the frequency of successful collisions.

Note that many examples of involving gases such as the Haber and Contact processes. However, these processes also involve an understanding of equilibria so resources need to be carefully chosen here so as not confuse students.
