What difficulties did you encounter when manipulating the data?

Whilst most do not have difficulty with reciprocal numbers it is the conversion of these to natural logarithms that can pose problems.

When placing the data into a spreadsheet many people have difficulty with using the maths functions. 

Therefore drawing tables and completing them using the mathematical functions on a calculator makes most sense as this is the method which students will need to employ in an exam situation.

What difficulties were encountered when plotting the graphs?

Reliance on spreadsheets and graph plotting software may have reduced skill levels in plotting graphs. Therefore students will need to practise these skills. Clearly, in this case, there are only 3 sets of readings which means that although a straight line can be plotted it limits the confidence in the outcome.
